Pensions industry newsletter
HMRC have published the spring edition of their Pensions Industry Newsletter which provides some useful updates and reminders to those in the pensions industry. This includes an update on the forms issued by HMRC when an Appropriate Personal Pension (APP) is cancelled and the removal of the requirement for a signature on a number of personal pension forms.
Also covered, are the changes to the state pensions age for women that will increase incrementally from April 2010 from age 60 to 65 and the additional change which will eventually increase the state pension age for both men and women to 68. This will impact on taxpayers who have contracted-out of the state pension.
