HMRC Agent update
HMRC have released the latest bi-monthly issue of the ‘Agent Update’ publication which includes summaries of recent changes and updates that have been announced. The document which is aimed at taxation and accountancy practitioners includes links to more detailed information on each of the topics covered.
The topics covered in the latest edition include the following:
- Information on how self-assessment tax payers can make voluntary future payments towards their tax bill
- Changes to the penalty regime from 1 April 2010
- New rules in respect of the foreign tax credits on chargeable gains
- Regulations for the disclosure of stamp duty land tax avoidance schemes
