Emailing HMRC changes re clients on PAYE
HMRC have launched a new email facility to allow agents to make certain notiifcations by email. The system is currently only available for use by agents where they are responsible for individuals under PAYE and are authorised to contact HMRC on their behalf.
The system, which uses an online form, can be used to update name and address details. Name details can be updated following a marriage or civil partnership. HMRC recommends that before completing the online form you have all necessary information to hand as there is a 15 minute time limit for completing the form online. This time limit is for security reasons and it is not possible to save the form for later completion.
It is possible that further notifications will be accepted by email in the future.
