UK- Netherlands Tax agreements
A new Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) between the UK and the Netherlands was signed in The Hague, Netherlands on 10 September 2010.
The TIEA is drafted to allow for the exchange of information necessary to prevent fraud and to ensure that the right amount of tax is paid in each country.
The UK and the Netherlands have also reached agreement with respect to taxes on income and on capital gains on closed funds for mutual account, known in Dutch as “fonds voor gemene rekening”. HMRC have published a competent authority agreement which can be found on HMRC’s website.
