New self assessment forms – partnerships
HMRC have published a number of new forms to register new partnerships and partners for self assessment and national insurance.
The forms which have been developed in conjunction with the National Working Together Group are designed to help eradicate problems that have existed in the past when trying to register new partnerships and partners for self assessment.
HMRC will monitor usage of the forms making any necessary adjustments before making the forms available to all self assessment taxpayers. HMRC expect to be able to make the forms available before the end of the 2010-11 tax year along with updated guidance for taxpayers.
The new forms are as follows:
- Form SA400 – Registering a partnership for self assessment
- Form SA401 – Registering a partner for Self Assessment and Class 2 NICs
- Form SA402 – Registering a partner for Self Assessment if they’re not an individual
